With emphasis on the growth of children to become good adults and a highly qualified resource of the nation, the Royal Thai Air Force established "The Royal Thai Air Force Youth Center" Its aim is to support and encourage children through a variety of activities such as summer courses, remedial courses,sport competitions, airscouts, and Chilren's Day activities.
The Royal Thai Air Force is stressing the importance of education particulary for children at tending schools in the vicinity of the base, by offering annual scholarships. The Royal Thai Air Force has also provided funds to on and off-base schools nationwide Aiming to upgrade their qualities and to motivate its members to send their children there in order to help solve the traffic situation.
The Royal Thai Air Force consistently organises religious ceremonies and many festive activities for its personnel and their families in order to uphold morale and promote Thai culture. On the auspicious occasions of the Sixtieth Birthday anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty the King in 1987 and Her Majesty the Queen in 1992, two magnificent Chedis or Pagodas were constructed and named Phra Mahathat Methanidon chedu and Phra Mahathat Nopphon Phumsiri Chedu. They are enshrined atop Yod Doi Inthanon - the hightest mountain in Chiangmai Thailand.
